To prove just how tough Unistrut Defender really is, a salt spray test was conducted to test corrosion resistance and red rust accumulation. Two pipe clamps, one Hot-Dip Galvanized and one Unistrut Defender, underwent a salt spray for 3000 hours. At the end of the test, 5 of the 6 Unistrut Defender samples still had not reached the 5% red rust failure criteria. The Hot-Dip Galvanized samples, on the other hand, reached the 5% red rust levels after 898 hours.
