Concrete Inserts Create a Permanent Steel Framework of Support

Concrete Inserts are used in concrete poured walls, floors, ceilings, foundations and pre-cast culverts. Unistrut concrete inserts offer a fully-engineered solution, integrating steel channel and parts, to create a cast-in-place concrete framework. This framework provides superior strength and durability to your system.

Installation

Unistrut Concrete Inserts are mounted into place prior to pouring concrete. The steel framework is cemented into place, as the concrete hardens, thus providing a permanent solution.

Inserts are firmly attached to the concrete side of the form prior to pouring. When the forms are removed, the insert is ready for use. Brackets and other components are now ready to connect to the embedded steel frameworks to create light structural support.

Standard duty inserts support such things as raceway, conduit, water lines, gas lines and other light weight systems. Whereas heavy duty inserts support systems of five thousand pounds or more, as in the case of anchoring curtain wall.

Introducing the New P3246 Heavy Duty Concrete Insert- the strongest on the market!

The insert's body is stainless steel, and the rods are fiberglass. As a result, it is both durable and corrosion resistant. The P3246 has up to 5,700 lbs. tension capacity in 3,000 psi concrete. The P3246 is a high capacity concrete insert, and specifically designed for heavy duty support applications, such as:

  • Heavy Mechanical Equipment
  • Large Electrical Boxes
  • Seismic Bracing
  • Large Pipe Supports
  • Heavy Duty Shelving

A single P3246 has the power to replace multiple ceiling anchorage points. This decreases the total number of inserts needed. As a result, there are significant reductions in labor and material costs.

The P3246 boasts the same versatility expected of any Unistrut product. Choose from five separate threaded hole sizes, ranging from 3/4”-10 up to 1-1/2”-6. **Maximum allowable loads vary by threaded rod size. Consult load tables prior to installation.

Standard Inserts are available in multiple styles and lengths, in the following materials and finishes:  pre-galvanized, hot dip galvanized, stainless steel and fiberglass materials.
